The 1” x 1” x ¼” Interleaf Mounted Flap Wheels by Black Hawk Abrasives combines the flexibility and polishing properties of non-woven material with the stock removing capability of coated abrasives flaps to create an extremely versatile sanding solution. The 1 Inch diameter by 1 inch thick mounted interleaved wheel is designed with nylon webbed abrasive pieces and aluminum oxide coated cloth flaps in an alternating fan pattern around a ¼” wide center shank. The 1/4” shank fits into a drill or a die grinder and due to the flap wheels small size and flex characteristics, allows the user to blend, sand or polish in hard to reach places or on contoured, rounded or irregular surfaces like inside or outside of tubes and piping. These non-woven interleaf duplex wheels are ideal for use on ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastic, wood and fiberglass. Common applications of the 1” mounted flap wheel included blending scratch patterns or parting lines, cleaning welds, heavy oxidation removal, de-scaling heat treated aluminum, removing rust, and creating a satin finish polish on certain metals. The 1” x 1” x 1/4” Mounted Interleaf Flap Wheels are available in Green (Coarse: 80 grit – 120 grit), Red (Medium: 150 grit – 240 grit), and Grey (Fine: 400 grit – 600 grit).
